KF4L Weekly Net Preamble (revised 7-24-2010)
CQ CQ CQ … Calling all amateurs. This is Clarksville Amateur Transmitting Society / KF4L, calling to order the weekly emergency services net. This net meets every Wednesday night at 7pm local time. The purpose of the net is to practice net control procedures, pass formal and informal traffic, promote goodwill, and to relay news of interest to all amateurs. (Reset)
This is a directed net, and all amateurs, whether a member of the club or not, are encouraged to check in and participate. Please direct all traffic and announcements through the net control station. Net control this evening is {Your Call}. My name is {Your Name} and I am located in {Your QTH}

------------------ Check-in Procedure -------------------
1. First we will take check-ins from stations with emergency or priority traffic. Any station with emergency or priority traffic please call KF4L now. (Recognize stations and handle traffic.)

2. Next we will take check-ins from stations on short-time. This includes mobiles that may be out of range, and stations that must go off the air before the check-in process is complete. When checking in, please key-up and call KF4L. Then unkey and listen for the repeater's (courtesy beep / repeater to drop) before continuing your call. Please give your call sign phonetically, your name, location, and indicate if you have Traffic or Announcements for the net.

3. Now we will take check-ins from other stations. Please remember to indicate if you have Traffic or Comments for the net. Any station wishing to check in to the weekly emergency services net, please call KF4L now.
