MARCH 3, 1994
The Winter of 1994 went out with a bang!
This area experienced a Ice Storm.
The Clarksville Amateur Transmitting Society were called out at 5 am to man the Local EOC and the Red Cross office. Forty Five Members during the next few days did what they did best: communicate for severed agencies. If you have ever been through a ice storm trees falling, streets impassable, and down right a different world than you are use too.
On March 3rd, 1994 the Mayor's office requested members of the club to attend that nights council meeting. The president at that time was Mike Warner/NX7T.
HERE IS WHAT THEY WANTED.
WE ARE PROUD TO GET AWARDS BUT, THE FEELING OF HELPING OTHERS IS THE GREATEST REWARD.
THANKS TO ALL WHO HELPED, THIS AWARD IS FOR YOU.
